IDA Humanoid Apprentice

“IDA,” the Humanoid Apprentice: When a Robot Begins an Apprenticeship

Since the summer of 2026, a humanoid robot named “IDA” has been learning warehouse operations at ID Logistics Germany’s headquarters in Griesheim—it sorts items and assists with simple processes. The term “trainee” is used here figuratively, not in a legal sense: A machine cannot enter into an apprenticeship contract under the Vocational Training Act (BBiG). Yet this raises a question that extends beyond this individual pilot project.

Connecting Stripe to Fulfillment: Selling Without a Storefront System

There are merchants who sell successfully without ever having set up an online store. A payment link in the Instagram bio, a QR code at the trade show booth, a payment link in the offer email—payments are processed through Stripe, and the package is then shipped manually. This is exactly where things get tricky once sales volume reaches a certain level.
OTDR Requirement on Amazon

Amazon FBM: OTDR Requirement Effective September 1, 2026

Starting September 1, 2026, Amazon will stop issuing warnings. That’s when enforcement of the On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR) will begin in Germany: FBM sellers who deliver less than 90 percent of their orders on time can expect individual listings to be deactivated—and, if their performance remains poor, to lose their FBM eligibility. The metric itself has been in effect since July 15, 2026. In other words, performance has been tracked for some time, but penalties will be imposed starting next week.
AI Agents Go Shopping

Agentic Commerce: AI Agents Go Shopping

In May 2026, traffic from AI assistants to e-commerce sites grew by 138 percent compared to the previous year—and these visitors converted 54 percent better than visitors from all other channels. A year earlier, the situation was exactly the opposite.
Micro Fulfillment Center

Same-Day Delivery: What Micro-Fulfillment Centers Really Deliver

Same-day delivery was long a privilege reserved for Amazon and the very largest marketplaces. Now, however, customer expectations have extended all the way to the checkout page of mid-sized online stores: If the “delivered today” option is missing, the conversion rate drops measurably—especially if competitors offer it. This is now made possible by micro-fulfillment centers (MFCs).
Cancel button

E-Commerce – Cancellation Button Effective June 19, 2026

Starting June 19, 2026, the cancellation button will be mandatory throughout the EU. Online retailers must provide consumers with an electronic cancellation feature that is just as easy to use as the ordering process itself. What sounds like a minor UI element actually triggers a chain of legal, technical, and operational changes—all the way down to our warehouses here at Subke.
WooCommerce ChatGPT Products

WooCommerce in ChatGPT: Sell Products Directly in the AI Chat

ChatGPT has long been more than just a chatbot. With the new ChatGPT Shopping, users can discover products right in the conversation—and visit your store with just one click.

This opens up a completely new sales channel for WooCommerce merchants: highly intent-driven traffic from shoppers who are actively searching for a product.

The EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) in Fulfillment: What Online Retailers Need to Know Now

A new set of regulations has been in effect since August 12, 2026, which fundamentally changes the mail-order business in Europe. The EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) affects anyone who packages, ships, or places goods on the market. Here, you’ll learn what you, as a retailer, need to keep in mind—and how we, as your fulfillment partner, can work together to set the course for the future.
