The picking process

Incoming orders

The order is automatically retrieved from the online store or ERP system and transferred to our warehouse with the necessary data.

Article

Our order picker in the warehouse sees the order on his handheld with the items that are on the pick list or picking list.

Number of articles

The order picker goes to the storage zone and the storage bin. He picks the products for the order from the shelf or pallet and places them in the picking trolley.

Packing table

The order picker takes the goods to the packing table. Here, the products are professionally packed in boxes or shipping bags according to the retailer's individual requirements. The shipping label is created for the order, printed out and the shipment is franked.

Collection

The packed goods are made available for collection. DHL and DPD come to us daily. Deutsche Post, GLS, UPS or FedEx must be ordered for collection. The shipment is scanned using a barcode and announced.

Shipping

The delivery to the customer is on the shipping route, which can be tracked via a tracking number for parcels. This tracking number is transmitted to the retailer's store or ERP system and the stock of items is reduced by the respective quantity.

What does picking mean?

Picking means assembling goods or products from stock according to an order. It is an important process in logistics and warehousing. The required items are taken from the storage bins and prepared for dispatch or further processing.
